Paul Conroy is an award winning photographer with over twenty-five years experience in conflict photography. In 2012, while on assignment for The Sunday Times, Paul, and legendary war correspondent, Marie Colvin, were attacked by the Syrian regime whilst covering the siege of Homs. Marie was killed, but Paul, critically wounded, survived. His memoir of the events in Syria (Under The Wire) has been made into a Hollywood movie, 'A Private War' and an EMMY nominated documentary of the same name 'Under The Wire' .
In 2019 Paul received a Society of Editors award, and the May Chidiac impact award for his photography in war zones. Paul has covered conflicts in Libya, Syria, Iraq, DRC, Egypt, Afghanistan and the Balkans. Paul currently sits on the board of the Frontline Club and Reporters San Frontieres.
Paul continues to photograph conflicts around the world.
