2012 Homs - Syria
In early 2012, troops of Bashar al Assad’s 4 Division attempted to quell the peaceful protests and lay siege to the city of Homs. One neighbourhood, Baba Amr, bore the brunt of Assad’s rage and endured weeks of heavy bombardment. Inevitably the vast majority of deaths were civilian.
The attack on the media that killed my colleague Marie Colvin, also destroyed my cameras and kit. The images below are all that survived the attack.
